Hello!! Iam Emily Uy the owner of SugarBox Cakes! I would like to welcome you to my Multiply! SugarBox was created out of curiosity and out of my wild imagination..........! here's the story...i was a CSB Graduate... fresh grad... tamad...no mission in life ...in short DI KO ALAM KUNG ANONG GUSTONG KONG GAWIN....hehehe.... and so... i applied in IBANK...i was accepted! but i quit! would you believe? after a week... i didnt liked what iam faced with... a desk,,,calculator...phone...pc...(did i mention that i am a computer applications graduate? ...) ayaw..... i didnt liked it..! so i quit! i applied again this time in Citibank naman...Libis pa... im from Binondo...(pasaway talaga)....Bank ulit.....my job there was to create a system for a particular department! and so i did.... after 6 months... yup i lasted 6 months naman...i quit again... by this time my mom was really worried na about me... " tyaga lang dapat" i hear my aunties telling my mom...ok... after the citibank job i got myself into Chinabank Marketing Assistant naman drama ko this time! I did enjoy My Bank Jobs naman But I kNeW i Wanted To Do SoMeThing Else! So after a year with China Bank... again i QUIT....yup three jobs one life how pathetic was i....but this time i have a goal! i want to be a BAKER! my mom said..."ano? hindi pwede! anong gusto mo? pareho ni manong?( Manong by the way is our panadero.. yup iam the grandchild of Master Hopia the Hopia Factory in quiapo...)" i said "ma! hindi panadero gusto ko... i want to ba a CAKE DESIGNER!" sosyal yun...! " she said..."HINDI PWEDE...HINDI MO KAYA MAGMASA NG PANDESAL" ( wala talaga akong balak by the way....) i want to specialize in personalized wedding cakes yung medyo hindi serious ang theme! i want to offer something new to the market! i want to insert humor! flirty attitude! i want innovation! i want to offer the market with my crazy cakes na maganda na mura pa! that time kasi the prices for fondant cakes are really high... when i entered the market i know a lot of cake shops and cake designers literally wanted to chop off my head! galit cguro some of them kasi ang baba ng prices ko... well.....what can i do? i have to have that niche...(ayan i learned something from benilde...) that was my chance to make my life worthwhile! Sugarbox was Born!!! and a Crazy Cake Designer named Emily Uy started to do cakes for everyone...after 5 years im still here...baking and decorating more and more cakes... i hope to do yours soon!
